After reading City at War, I got excited about this mini-series. My issue with City at War, it basically just showed us the cut scenes from the game. Nothing new at all. At least with this mini-series, it … Continue reading Spider-Man Velocity #5 Review

Writer: Greg PakArtists: Nico Leo and Pop MhanColor Artist: Rachelle RosenbergCover Price: $3.99Release Date: November 13, 2019 Well I’m not going to lie. But before I opened up this issue, I had low expectations about this mini-series. So far, the plot hasn’t really done anything to get me excited for this book. Plus, the book is suffering from too many characters on the team. We … Continue reading Agents of Atlas #4 Review

The last time we saw Miles, he was about to stop an attempted murder. However, it seems like some of the cliffhangers in this run have been a bit hit or miss. It’s a good thing that the cliffhanger doesn’t make or break a book and that overall, Saladin Ahmed’s story itself is good enough to draw me back in each month. Let’s dive in and see what we have going on in this issue… Continue reading Miles Morales: Spider-Man #12 Review
Writer: Rainbow RowellArtist: Andres Genolet and Dee CunniffePrice: $3.99Release Date: October 30, 2019 Not going to lie, but very shocked that this book hasn’t even been announced that it is ending. The sales for this book really should be some concern for Marvel. Hopefully with the sudden change, is what the book needs to be a great book again. Although it kind of reminds me … Continue reading Runaways #26 REVIEW
Well, we are more than halfway done with this sequel mini-series that was based on the Playstation 4 Spider-Man video game. And, I’m not going to lie, but the run hasn’t been all too thrilling. The City at War run has at least had great scenes but this run really hasn’t so much. One thing that isn’t getting me psyched for this book is its cliffhangers. None of the cliffhangers so far are making me want to read more. Let’s dig in and see what we have here… Continue reading SPIDER-MAN VELOCITY #3 Review
Writer: Greg PakArtists: Nico Leo and Pop MhanCover Price: $3.99Release Date: October 23, 2019 I don’t know if this issue was delayed but this story really needs to step up its game. I thought this was ongoing, so I wouldn’t care that much if the first story arc wasn’t all that great but it’s only a mini! This means that at this point before jumping … Continue reading Agents of Atlas #3 Review
Well after finding out Miles Morales from this universe is back with a new name and a Giant-Man type suit, can Miles (Ultimate Universe Miles) get to the bottom of this? It seems like just when the book has reached a point that should be Mile’s breaking point, something new and dangerous occurs. It seems that every story arc is about 3-4 issues. I hope this breaks it and we get a nice 5-6 issues to tell this story! Let’s dig in and see what we have here… Continue reading Miles Morales: Spider-Man #11 Review
Recently, I read the ending story arc to the 2005-2008 run and even then the story arc, seemed a bit of a stretch. But, at least the story arc had a nice flow to it while this just feels like a continuous story arc with nothing actually happening. If they announced this series to be done at issue 30, I would not care. I just hoped the series would go out strong. When the series got done with Bo and Rim, the book seemed to be lost and had no clue where to go from there. Is Rainbow all out of ideas? Let’s dig in and find out… Continue reading Runaways #25 REVIEW
Writer: Dennis “Hopeless” Hallum Art: Emilio Laiso, Rachelle Rosenberg, VC’s Travis Lanham, and Skan Price: $3.99 Release Date: September 24, 2019 Is this story actually needed? That is a big yes from this reader! I loved the PS4 Spider-Man video game but was not a fan of the comic they did on it. It would have been better as an origin story, instead of just … Continue reading SPIDER-MAN VELOCITY #2 Review
