After being on the fence on New Mutants because of my lack of knowledge, I’m ALL in after issue two. Jonathan Hickman’s second issue should literally be study material for writers who need to learn how to develop not only a team book but a team with a huge roster. He shows humor, character development, camaraderie and some good-natured jabs and snarkiness between the characters. Hickman also gives this book a totally different feel and vibe than any of the other DoX books. New Mutants is quickly becoming one of my favorite X books. If you aren’t reading this, check it out.
