After last issue’s cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait for this issue! Hell, every time I close this book after reading it, I can’t wait for the next issue and I am not really a Daredevil fan! I guess that is kind of silly to say at this point because I am a fan and I am glad to be one. So, does this issue continue the fun…in a very violent way? Let’s find out…

The issue picks up right from the last and while I thought that Matt was going to bust into the apartment and save the cosplaying Daredevil from the bad cops, I liked what happened even more. I’d say it was a smart plan, but I don’t think it would have really worked…but it did…so I guess it was a smart plan. It’s funny how that works, right?
Actually, how it works is that Matt does end up throwing down after Foggy took to long to get the hell out of the apartment and the extended fight goes as well as most in this book so far… Matt getting as much pain and suffering as he dishes out.
We do go off for a second to see Kingpin doing his Mayor things, but the real action is with Matt…and Foggy…and the fake Daredevil. Yep, they came back to help Matt. That was definitely not part of the plan!!!

The issue ends with an old friend once again showing up to save Matt’s ass as well as giving him an offer and a cliffhanger that shows that no matter how hard Fisk has tried to play things clean, there was no doubt that eventually, he’d get his hands dirty again!
I liked this issue even though a lot of it was taken up with an extended fight that didn’t really amount to much except to set things up going forward. Granted, I like what is going to happen, but I got the idea it was last issue. The art was great and the Kingpin stuff ended in a crazy way we all knew was coming so I still ended up closing the book and wanting the next issue now…like always!
Final Thoughts:
Daredevil is still one of my favorite books at Marvel and while this issue was dominated by an extended fight, two really big things happen that have me pumped going forward. The whole issue looked great and I highly recommend picking it up.
