No More W.E.B. of Spider-Man?

The Spider-Man comic established for the forthcoming Disney ride has been thrown in the backburner. The lack of W.E.B. of Spider-Man on the Marvel’s February 2021 solicits raised some suspicion. Well Spider-fans, now we know why. W.E.B. of Spider-Man has been postponed for the foreseeable future.

Marvel Comics notified comic retailers last Thursday that the first two issues have been “unscheduled for the time being ”. However, no reason was given. Nevertheless, we can infer that since this series was set to be a tie-in to the new Disney ride that maybe the ride may not be ready, and thus the need for the series isn’t in as much demand right now. Truly, only time will tell. But for now, the series doesn’t seem to be on the horizon. This may come as a shock (sarcasm here) but COVID has hit the comic industry hard as well. W.E.B. of Spider-Man was originally announced in March 2020 and scheduled for release in June 2020. Heck, it’s even received a new artist since March. However, to paraphrase Marvel, “new dates will be coming in the future as soon as possible”
