Holy Rusted Metal X-fans, the new X-Event scheduled to drop this September called X OF SWORDS has now increased from a mere 15 parts to now a whopping 24 issues! Marvel has deemed this event as a throwback to their classic style encompassing all of the current X-titles. Below is a sneak peek at a checklist to wet your whistle and energize the passionate masses.

Included in the X OF SWORDS event will be X-Men, Marauders, X-Factor, Wolverine, Cable, Excalibur, X-Force, and Hellions, as well as three one-shots, called X of Swords: Creation, X of Swords: Stasis in October, and X of Swords: Destruction in November. Heck, they’re even releasing an X OF SWORDS: HANDBOOK. X OF SWORDS, actually pronounced “Ten of Swords”, uses the DAWN OF X titles and focuses on mutants utilizing enchanted blades from all over the Marvel Landscape. Marvel has yet to reveal the true villain of the story, however, many have speculated Apocalypse’s involvement considering he’s been like a puppet master working in the shadows throughout the Krakoan backdrop.

Come September, EXCALIBUR #12 and X-MEN #12 get the ball rolling followed by X OF SWORDS: CREATION #1 and X-FACTOR #4. Hold on to your hats because October and November are going to be legendary X-fans!
